Thailand

Overview

BANGKOK
As the political, economic, cultural, culinary, and spiritual capital of Thailand, Bangkok features both old-world charm and modern convenience, at times served up in an apparently chaotic manner, but always with a gracious smile
PATTAYA
Pattaya, the vibrant coastal city has its beaches constantly brimming with life, as water sports lovers and sun worshippers take to the waters. In the evenings, the action shifts to the streets thanks to the city’s electrified nightlife.
PHUKET
Stunning beaches complimenting an exotic landscape – there is a reason why Phuket is crowned “the pearl of Andaman”. This coveted tourist hub offers a wide range of activities for all tastes, budgets and ages. With its hedonistic nightlife, glamorous shopping malls and tempting eateries, Phuket makes for a lavish holiday.
KRABI
There are no dearth of soft sand beaches, blue waters and hidden Buddhist temples in Thailand. What differentiates Krabi from the rest of them are the crowds. Or rather the lack of them. Tourism in Thailand tends to be in-your-face at the best of times and Krabi offers a welcome break from commercialised Phuket or resort-heavy Ko Lanta/Phi Phi Island. Krabi town itself is very close to the river mouth that opens to the gorgeous Andaman Sea at Tambon Pak Nam. The town itself is sleepy and bypassed quite often by the shoals of tourists visiting Thailand’s beaches. However, Krabi is a great spot to base yourself and visit nearby Ton Sai, Ao Nang or Rai Leh or the more famous beaches of Ko Lanta or Phi Phi.
KOH SAMUI
An island paradise, Koh Samui beckons hippie backpackers as much as glamorous jet setters. Indulge in luxurious comforts and spa treatments, or try out some adventure sports and rough it out, this is a destination that presents to travellers the best of both worlds. Abundant in natural beauty, Samui offers treks to waterfalls, dives to see coral reefs, walks through tropical jungles and plenty of sun, sand and surf. Indulge in the spiritual with a visit to the many Buddhist temples or a walk through the ancient gardens. Koh Samui, also called Ko Samui or just Samui, is an island in the Gulf of Thailand, close to the mainland Surat Thani town. It is Thailand’s second largest island, populated by a Buddhist majority. Samui is known for its natural beauty and diverse scenery, with pristine sandy beaches, lush tropical forests, and interesting rock formations. Having recently evolved into a tourist hotspot, many parts of Samui are westernised and bustling with activity. The beaches of Chaweng and Lamai are commercialised, with restaurants, bars, water-sports, sun-beds, and active night spots. Other areas like Bo Phut and Big Buddha, though expanding fast, still retain some of the old world charm with quaint fishing villages, temples and other historic sites. All in all, Samui promises to be a relaxing, fun-filled vacation where you can get your feet wet, let your hair down and indulge in some fantastically hedonistic pleasures.
Hua Hin
Hua Hin, on the other hand, is a town situated 200-kms south of Bangkok. It is popular for its beaches along the crystal-clear waters as well as shopping, fishing, and kiteboarding activities. Thai royalty is reflected through the historical cities of Hua Hin.
